They’re not are they, and your business isn’t going to grow as a result of it.
So in order to build a successful home business you need to FOCUS on mastering content creation as a priority.

Idea #1: Understand Your Perfect Audience Better
So the first thing you need to do when it comes to creating better Social Media content is to understand your target market and figure out what are their pains, problems and challenges and how you and your product, service or opportunity can actually help them solve those problems.
Once you know this it will become much easier because you’ll be creating your content with that specific audience in mind.
When you create your content you’ll be talking about things that are relevant to those people and giving them solutions to their pains, problems and challenges.
All of a sudden your perfect audience will flock to you because they can see your products, services or opportunity can help them get what they want.
So the first thing to do is to figure out who your perfect audience is.
Idea #2: Get Good at the 3 Basic Types of Content
So now you know who your perfect audience is. Next you need to figure out what kind of content you need to create in order to attract them.
Now, there’s actually 3 basic types of content you’ll need to master:
They are:
1. Value Content
2. Engagement Content
3. Promotional Content
Now, Value based content… should teach and educate your audience about your chosen topic… And over time will help position you as an authority which will enable you to build a bigger audience around that topic…
The second type of content is Engagement based content…
Now engagement content is designed to get more people to comment, like and share your content… and they don’t have to be related to your topic specifically.
So you could ask random questions such as:
“What’s your middle name?”
“What’s your favourite colour“
“What’s the weather like where you are right now“
And the third type of content, is promotional content.
Now there’s many different ways to promote your business on Social Media but you must follow the cardinal 80/20% rule.
At least 80% of your content should be value based and only 20% should be promotional.
If you want to take it a step further, then 90% value and 10% promotional would be safer.
The problem is that if you promote, promote, promote, then people will tune out and ignore you but if you don’t promote enough… then nobody will know what you have to offer and you won’t make any money.
So it’s a balance, but you do need to get it right.
Idea #3: Focus on ONE Platform First
Next is FOCUS on ONE platform and one specific sub area of that platform.
For example if you’re going to focus on Facebook, then choose a sub area to focus on also.
– It might be your Facebook Profile.
– It might your FB Stories
– It might be your Reels, your FB Group or your FB Business Page.
The key to begin with is to choose ONE platform and ONE sub area and become consistent on there.
Don’t try to create content on all platforms at once otherwise you’ll get overwhelmed.
If you try to use Facebook and Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, Blogging etc etc you will get overwhelmed.
There’s a specific strategy to be able to repurpose your content across different platforms and I’ll cover some of those in another training video soon.
Idea #4: Create More Than You Consume
Now don’t get me wrong… learning is great and it’s essential to your success, but it’s also passive and it can become addictive if you’re not careful.
I know many business owners who just watch videos and consume content all day and they never actually implement what they learn.
So get into the habit of taking action on what you learn.
If you watch ONE video, then create TWO pieces of content from it.
If you spend 5 minutes watching TikToks videos, Reels, or Stories then spend 10 minutes creating your own and very soon your business will change ?
Idea #5: Imperfect Action is Better Than Perfect Inaction
Now when you’re creating content it’s important that you take imperfect action because perfection is the lowest standard and you’ll never achieve it.
The only way to get good at something is to actually do it.
If I look back at some of my older videos over the years. My t-shirts were often un ironed, my sound quality wasn’t great and my lighting was terrible but I was still able to enrol over 1000 people in multiple opportunities, have millions of views on my videos and earn over 7 figures in income from my online business.
So just go for it. Get it started. You can refine it and make it better later but just make a decision to put it out there no matter what.
Take action, create it, publish it and move on.
Idea #6: Consistency Trumps Everything
Consistency Trumps Everything. Consistency builds trust. You want your followers to look forward to your posts and be anticipating them.
You don’t have to post daily to be consistent but you do have to post regularly to be consistent.
So choose the days of the week you’re going to post on, and choose a specific time you’ll post…
If you can only do 3 times per week, then make sure they are the same three days each week. For example a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Then people know to expect your posts on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday rather than them being haphazard and all over the place.
Idea #7: Create & Schedule Your Content In Advance
If you can, create and schedule your content in advance.
One thing you can do is sit down for a few hours once per week and get all your content created for the upcoming week.
It will save you so much time allowing you to focus on your income producing activities which are Inviting, Presenting and Closing.
Once your content is created, then if you have a business page or FB Group you can schedule your content in advance for the week.
If you’re using Stories, Reels or your Profile then you’ll need to post your content manually on the correct days because there isn’t a scheduling option available, but at least it will all be created in advance 🙂
Then if you’re busy, get sick or have an unexpected event happen in your life, your content is still created and you’ll still be growing your business.
Idea #8: Broadcast Like a TV Station
Finally, post no matter what. It doesn’t matter if nobody sees your posts, if you don’t get any comments, likes or shares or if you feel like you’re speaking to nobody…
Create and post no matter what!
One of my clients Alejandro said the other day…
“Imagine you’re like a TV Station. Then broadcast no matter what…“
Very wise words indeed!
People can tune in at any point and they can tune out… but the TV station will continue to broadcast without pause…
So, in order to grow a successful business online… you need to do the same.
Post your content no matter what because there will be many times where nobody engages with your content and if you let that be the measure of success in your business you will fail.
